The Mural - A Clean Air themed wall painting

POW! WOW! is an international mural arts festival founded by Jasper Wong in Hong Kong in 2009. The festival has since exhibited in 17 cities worldwide with the purpose of city beautification and community building and was, for the first time held in Sweden - in Nederman´s hometown Helsingborg. POW! WOW! is all about bringing people together through arts and culture. For Nederman this was  a great opportunity to bring people together through clean air and to bring attention to the importance of what we do.

The artist, Fabio Petani, has a strong love for nature. Fabio always paint botanical elements, with the explanation and aim to bring nature in to cities and to let people get inspired by the powerful nature. The connection between this specific mural and Nederman is the strong link to clean air. Fabio Petani explains that he choose the Ficus plant for the Nederman mural as it´s one of the most air purifying plants. The Ficus plant creates clean air just as Nederman creates clean air.

Art gives inspiration, new ideas and enhances creative thinking. Our artist, Fabio, has ideas and inspiration that he shares with us through the art. It’s important that we get inspired and that we have free thoughts and new ideas to develop and change for the better. With this artwork, we show innovation and that Nederman is thinking new. By changing a small part of our facade, we show that we are changing things in the world.
